Casting
In the rubber trade the word “casting” is used when liquid, hot and vulcanisable Polyurethane is processed. There are liquid and rollable types of Polyurethane. Furthermore, we can divide the liquid types in cold and hot vulcanisable versions. The “hot” version, however, is applied the most.
Hot vulcanisable types of Poyurethanes provide the best mechanic qualities. The qualities of most elastomers diminish as the hardness increases. Polyurethane is an exception to this rule: the higher the hardness, the better the mechanical qualities.
To achieve proper results by casting, experience, craftsmanship and sensitivity are key. The secret lies in the ability to cast the viscous liquid in the mould without any air inclusions.
Due to our special casting techniques, we are able to manufacture rubber products with intricate designs and an excellent performance.
